We’re heading into the back half of the year with a ton of momentum to spare.
First up: BPD has scored three finalist spots in the MM+M Awards. Our AdventHealth “Official Champions of the Human Spirit” and HCA Healthcare “The Show Love Project” campaigns are up for Corporate Branding, while SHIFT Nursing’s “Everybody’s Work” is recognized for Health Equity and Social Awareness. Winners will be announced October 9 in NYC, but the recognition already reflects the bold ideas and high-impact work our clients trust us to deliver.
Our roster just got stronger: Kimberly Torries joins as a Precision Marketing & Data Strategist, Rachel Abiusi as a Project Manager, and Lauren Moeller as a Growth Specialist. Inside BPD, we’re celebrating the well-earned promotions of Lindsy Geary (Senior Project Manager), Alex Bailey (VP, Project Management), and Brittnie Christenson (Senior Account Supervisor).
Looking ahead, we announced the 2026 Joe Public Retreat, happening in the sunny South Beach, Florida. This year’s theme with The AI Dream—a rare gathering where top health system marketers will envision the future of AI in healthcare, guided by nationally recognized AI thought leader Paul Roetzer. Not your typical conference—this is where the big ideas will be born.
We’re also excited to announce a new partnership with Upperline Health, a national leader in comprehensive and value-based lower extremity care. BPD will be working with Upperline to strengthen their current brand strategy—building on their leadership position and expanding their impact in the communities they serve.
This month, we pulled back the curtain on who really has the CEO’s ear, exploring the relationship of CCOs and CMOs and what it means for the shifting power dynamics inside health systems. We ask if healthcare can take on Hollywood too, diving into how brands can show up in pop culture and unexpected places. We examine the overlooked role of women as the Chief Health Officers of their households and how brands can truly meet them where they are. And we explore how to keep trust alive in the age of AI, navigating innovation without losing credibility in an era of deepfakes and consumer skepticism. And in The Future of the CMO: The Leadership Whisperer, Desirée, Stephanie, and Chris reflect on this year’s Cannes Lions festival—the “Met Gala of marketing”—where AI and creativity dominated the conversation.
